I could not find TCRT5000 in the KiCad file explorer

Thanks for reaching us. If you are trying to import the footprint of TCRT5000 in KiCad, please remember you have to select the folder where the .kicad_mod file is located.

Once do follow the steps at the article above, you will find the footprint as OPTO_TCRT5000.kicad_mod.
